ISAF KITEBOARDING OLYMPIC TRIALS: DAY-4

As we walked down to the sailing center at about 8:30am for the morning meeting, the temperature outside was like I was back home in Florida! Blue skies and incredibly warm, A beautiful day! We sat down and spent a few hours in the meeting room talking about new course ideas and fine-tuning courses we had tried.  Narrowing it down to three great courses. As the day was looking like there would be no wind we had a gear presentation at the sailing center for everyone to see and ask questions.

SANTANDER, SPAIN ISAF FORMAT TRIALS DAY-3

Life is good another great day in Spain with Big winds and tons of racing.... I am so tired I am trying not to cramp just bending over “old no” I think it is my body reassuring me my muscles are still here. Today we ran though a ton of races and different formats, as all the kitesurfers were on the water for over 6 hours. It truly was a spectacular day learning and really fine tuning ideas that might help out the sport of Sailing, and give us the edge for maybe a chance at the Olympics.

ISAF KITEBOARDING OLYMPIC TRIALS: DAY-2

Woke to a beautiful day in Santander, Spain with perfect blue skies and snow on the foothills. Absolutely spectacular! Today was a big step for kiteboarding as a sport and our hunt for the Olympics. We ran 2 Windward/Leeward Course Races in the beginning, which the wind was on the light side, most everyone was on big kites. It was amazing as all the different classes of boats were right next to us racing as well on there own courses. As the goal of this demonstration and evaluation is to try new things and show everything kitesurfing has to offer.
